Anthony Abreu is an artist who impresses you not only with his talent, but with his heart.

Abreu's exuberant style with watercolors combines a look of oil on canvas with bright and realistic colors. They impart a warm and pleasant feeling to his viewers. His oil paintings reflect the style of the old masters.

His unique style, using simple and direct images, has captured the attention of art collectors, critics and media alike.

The Portuguese artist was born in 1941 and began painting at the age of six. His first art competition at the age of 16 was held in Florida State Fair Art Exhibition and won him First and Second Prize.

While studying at Ringling School of Art located in Sarasota, Florida, Abreu had the privilege of meeting and discussing his career with such noted artist as Normal Rockwell, Austin Briggs, Allen Parker and many others.

“I have always tried to inject expression into my paintings so they will reach people's hearts and speak directly to them.”In 1962, Abreu was commissioned by Firestone to create the Rain Tire Ad that ran in Look Magazine. Within that period of time, he created and produced several pieces of commercial art for R.C. Cola Company depicting the R.C. Cola Girl. Anthony Abreu has developed a unique style in which he uses all of his talents to unleash moments of warmth and feeling.

Anthony Abreu ... the embodiment of art for the millennium. His strong message reflects his optimism.
