Bottle Benders is a family business composed of Jean and Ted Chalfant, Donna Guest, and Roxann Chalfant. Jean and Ted started making wind chimes in 1970. They realized that they could melt down bottles in their kiln and then quickly discovered that they could make more money selling chimes than they could at their "real" job. So they left behind the world of gainful employment, and started out on their own.

With their kids in tow, they did art shows all over the southeast. Their chimes are made from recycled glass bottles, that are fire in a ceramic kiln, and then hiund on handmade tops. The business continued growing and soon Donna, their eldest daughter, joined them. Not long after Donna joined the business, Roxann, the youngest of the bunch, followed suit and came to work for Bottle Benders as well.

It takes all four of them now to produce the volume of chimes that are in demand. They participate in art shows in Georgia, South Caroliina, Florida, Noth Carolina, Thennessee, and Alabama. They have worked hard to perfect their chimes over the nearly 40 years that they have been in business, and strive to make the best wind chimes possible.
