Gisele Pierrette Barrett was born in St. Eugene, Province of Quebec, Canada. A self-taught artist, she began her career in calligraphic artwork before transitioning into the field of pastels and oils. Her extensive study and encounters with wildflowers and woodland inhabitants has inspired her devotion toward wildlife paintings.

Having exhibited in art shows over a decade, Gisele, with her husband, Thomas, also an accommplished artist, adn their bearded collies currently resides in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Georgia where she creates her original works of art.
