Maura has always been interested in art. At first an avid drawer and painter, Maura dedicated her artistic efforts to metalwork after a metal-working class her junior of college. Maura graduated from Earlham College in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art and continued to develop her craft through workshops and classes.

She primarily works with copper, brass, and sterling silver but she also enjoys the challenge of working with non-traditional materials such as found objects, steel, and recylcled tin. She uses jewelry as an exploration and celebration of past and present cultures.

Maura lives in Columbia, North Carolina.
