Stan Cook is retired and now resides in White County, Georgia. He is a Canadian native and lived there until retirement, where he worked in construction.
He started building trains years ago for impoverished young people in his church. In the beginning they were simply wooden trains. One year, however, he decided to start experiementing with joining different kinds of woods together to build his trains and eventually got into the wood form called Intarsia. Intarsia incovlves joining the different kids to wood together to form the art piece, and then the art piece gets a clear coat of polyurethane.
At times, Stan will donate all the proceeds of his fales to his church for missions.
